The first LIA online symposium on the topic of “Overcoming fears and blockages” took place on March 6th. At the beginning of the year it became definitely clear that the planned 3-day symposium in Zurich could not take place due to the current Corona situation and had to be postponed to 2022. Since many had already reserved the date, the board decided at the January meeting to hold a 1-day online symposium. Monika Koller Schinca, the organizer of the event and member of the LIA board, gives you a brief review of the symposium here.
Monika, how was it even possible to put together such a great symposium in such a short time?
Monika:
I wasn’t alone, I had a great core team with Johannes Lauterbach and Martina Klug. Together we quickly developed ideas and developed the concept. The speakers we asked for all agreed and were enthusiastic. With Dr. Willem Lammers, Dr. We had competent speakers Suzanne von Blumenthal, Christin Aannerud, Karsten Blauel and Mathias Egger on board and so an exciting and interactive program was put together in a short time. But I have to admit that it was an intensive two months with everything there was to do. Luckily, my husband and I had a “good angel” at my side who gave me technically competent support in creating the website. Without him, this would not have been possible without the budget and in such a short time.
What were the highlights from your perspective?
Monika:
That’s very difficult for me to say. I think the mix of contributions was ideal. On the one hand there were the theoretical lectures, on the other hand there were the practical examples and the interactive exercises. There was something for everyone. Both for people who already knew Logosynthesis and for interested people who have never come into contact with this model. The lively moderation together with Ernst Aebi, the LIA President, as well as the contributions in the form of interviews meant that these 5 hours were never boring.
How many participants lasted “five” hours?
Monika:
The number of participants remained fairly constant throughout the entire symposium at around 280 people. Since I knew some of the participants had to leave early, new participants kept coming and the majority stayed the whole time. So I assume most people liked it
Can you give us some feedback from the participants?
Monika:
Very gladly. Here are some of the many feedbacks:
